Baccolo is a tribute to Bacchus, the ancient deity of wine. Following the tradition of great Venetian wines, we have created a unique blend obtained partially from raisins: this technique is called "appassimento."
In 1960, Cielo e Terra was founded in its current form as a cooperative and began selling wines throughout Italy. The winery currently exports to more than 60 countries.

The Cielo family's connection to the land began in 1908 in the Vicenza countryside, near the Castles of Romeo and Juliet, where their great-grandfather Giovanni had acquired a small estate with a vineyard. His grandfather Pietro continued to run the company with great enthusiasm and social commitment. In the 1960s, the third generation—Giovanni, Renzo, and Piergiorgio—built the new winery, a combination of tradition and innovative research with a marked international expansion.
